TOM ANDERSON
Tom Anderson is one of the most decorated and prolific a cappella arrangers of this century and the owner and creative director of delightfully anagrammatic arranging studio Random Notes. Tom's arrangements have been heard on NBC's "The Sing-Off" and have racked up nearly half a billion (with a "b") YouTube views and counting. His arrangements have appeared on releases by artists like - some would say exactly like - the Swingles, the Beach Boys' Brian Wilson, Sabrina Carpenter, Home Free, and multiple ICHSA champions and ICCA finalists, as well as on Royal Caribbean cruise lines, at Disney and Busch Gardens theme parks, and, somehow, as backing vocals for Vampire Weekend. Tom is a seasoned educator on arranging-related topics at vocal music events nationwide. He resides in the liminal space between Milwaukee and Chicago and is currently hiding from his cat, who has the zoomies.
KATHERINE BODOR
Katherine is a CARA-nominated arranger and composer from Minneapolis, MN. She has a Masters in Composition from the Jacobs School of Music, and her musical focus is on layering, texture, and nuance within emotional story arcs. Her arrangements are featured on Voices Only & BOHSA compilations, and her work has helped clients make it to ICHSA finals and ICCA Open finals. She judges for Varsity Vocals competitions, masterclasses and teaches at regional & CASA festivals, and consults with groups to unlock the depth of their vocal expression. Katherine’s choral and chamber music has premiered throughout the US and internationally, and she hopes her work will continue bridging the gap between the contemporary a cappella and choral realms.
LILI FUJIU
Lili Fujiu is an a cappella clinician based in the Milwaukee and Chicagoland areas. She began her a cappella journey as a part of The Harmelodics, the treble group at Northern Illinois University. Throughout her five years as music director, The Harmelodics had a successful run with ICCA semifinal appearances, a trip to the VoiceJam Festival, an EP, and many other notable showcases, performances, and tours. Lili is also a three-time Outstanding Arrangement award recipient, making her one of the most decorated treble arrangers in ICCA history. She currently runs workshops specializing in text-painting and diction. She is so excited to be a part of OCAP this year as it will be her first ever festival as a clinician!
DENNIS GEPHART
Dennis Gephart, with a remarkable twenty-three-year tenure as Director of Choral Activities at Port Washington High School, oversees a diverse musical landscape, leading four core choral ensembles and three extracurricular vocal groups. In 2016, Dennis played a pivotal role in a pioneering initiative, collaborating with fellow educators in conjunction with the Wisconsin State Music Association to establish the nation's inaugural Contemporary A Cappella Solo and Ensemble event for Wisconsin students. Beyond his school's ensembles, Dennis's dedication to choral music education extends to his service as the WCDA State Honors Vocal Jazz Assistant director (2007-2011) and assistant director for the Wisconsin Vocal Jazz Institute (2010-2015). He has contributed significantly as the WCDA State Men’s Choir Repertoire and Standards chair (2012-2016) and currently serves as Wisconsin’s Repertoire Standards chair for Contemporary Commercial Music. Dennis is an active clinician, sharing his expertise with vocal groups across the nation, leaving an indelible mark on the world of choral music education.
STEPHEN LANZA
Stephen Lanza has been referred to many times by his friends as a walking encyclopedia of a cappella music. He graduated from the University of Missouri in spring 2015. As a student, he sang with and eventually ran the all-male group Add9 for four and a half years and was a member of Hitt Street Harmony, the contemporary music group through the School of Music, for a year and a half. In summer 2013, Stephen had the privilege of performing alongside “The Sing-Off” contestant Groove For Thought as a vocal percussionist during their exhibition performance at VoCALnation. Currently working as an industrial engineer in the Milwaukee area, Stephen continues his love of a cappella by writing for the Recorded A Cappella Review Board (RARB) and has penned nearly 150 reviews. He is currently the music director for Focus, an award-winning extracurricular a cappella group at Port Washington High School, an active arranger and an active a cappella clinician in Southeastern Wisconsin.
RAHUL RAVI
Rahul Ravi is an internationally acclaimed beatboxer and one of the top five tag-team performers in the world, known for his innovative use of beatboxing as a structural and rhythmic tool in a cappella and vocal performance settings. With a background in competitive beatbox at the highest levels, including appearances at the Grand Beatbox Battle and the Haten Beatbox Battle World Championship. His work bridges the gap between percussive vocal technique and musical arrangement, making him a sought-after collaborator in vocal ensembles and experimental vocal music. Through his workshops and performances, Rahul explores the integration of beatbox as arrangement, teaching concepts such as vocal layering, texture design, microphone technique for live a cappella, call-and-response structuring, and rhythmic arrangement in duo and group formats. His sessions are particularly valued by a cappella groups looking to leverage beatboxing not just for impact, but as a compositional tool.
ELISE SCHROEDER
Elise Schroeder is an award-winning choreographer and 2022 ICCA Champion, recognized for her dynamic and impactful contributions to the a cappella community. During her senior year, she earned the Outstanding Choreography award at every level of the ICCA season, distinguishing herself as a leading force in a cappella performance. Since then, Elise has worked with top-tier collegiate and high school groups across the country, including choreography collaborations with the past three ICCA Champions—The Pitchmen, BLOOM, and Pitches and Notes—during their championship seasons. She has also choreographed for the Varsity Vocals ICCA and ICHSA Finals, bringing her creative vision to some of the most prestigious stages in the circuit. In addition to her choreography work, Elise has served as a clinician and judge at major festivals and events such as BOSS, NACC, ACAPOCALYPSE, and more. Her work has been showcased at venues including The Town Hall in New York City, Hamel Music Center in Madison, WI, and the Athenaeum Theatre in Chicago, IL. As a CASA AVA-winning choreographer and director, Elise brings a deep understanding of storytelling through movement and the unique demands of singing while dancing. WALTER SMART
Walter is a dynamic vocal musician whose artistry bridges contemporary commercial music, a cappella performance, and professional stage work. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Music with a concentration in Contemporary Commercial Music from the University of Wisconsin–Parkside in Spring 2024, where he was selected by the music faculty as the department’s nominee for the prestigious Outstanding Graduate Award.
As an accomplished musician, Walter has coached and elevated scholastic vocal groups through his knowledge of and dedication to a cappella performance and vocal arranging, showcasing both his distinctive musical voice and strong technical skill. A few of his performance accolades include receiving the Outstanding Soloist Award at the 2023 Acapocalypse A Cappella Festival and serving as a background vocalist for Josh Groban in 2022—an experience that further solidified his presence on the professional stage.
Beyond arranging and performance, Walter is also a familiar voice in major local sporting arenas as a multi-year National Anthem performer for the Milwaukee Bucks. His expertise within the a cappella community has led to leadership opportunities including serving as student director of UW-Parkside’s a cappella group, Parkside Range, from 2021-2024, as well as judging the 2025 and multiple 2026 Great Lakes ICHSA/ICCA Quarterfinals.
With a strong blend of vocal excellence, arranging talent, and industry experience, Walter continues his work of expanding his impact across both the contemporary music and a cappella worlds, helping nurture and inspire young musicians to pursue music beyond their academic years.
LEE STOVALL
Lee Stovall (he/him) currently teaches high school vocal music and music technology at Rufus King High School in Milwaukee Public Schools. Outside of school, he is the Assistant Artistic Director for Our Voice Milwaukee and sings in the chorus for the Florentine Opera Company and Aperi Animam. A veteran teacher of 16 years, he has taught students from 4K to college in urban, suburban, and rural school districts. His life passions are to use vocal music to spread joy in his students and their communities and using music to break down societal barriers. A founding member of the collegiate a cappella group, Fundamentally Sound, he has been interested in promoting contemporary a cappella education since college and has arranged and coached groups from around the world since then. Previous experiences and accolades include arranging for "Broadway Goes A Cappella 3" at Feinstein's/54 Below in New York City to rave reviews, and ICCA and CARA awards from the high school to the professional level. Stovall is a board member for multiple local and state music associations, and has been a part of the music expansion at Milwaukee Public Schools: in the past 5 years the number of students who have had access to music classes has increased from 19% to 92%. Outside of his current teaching position, performance schedule, and volunteer work within music education, Stovall enjoys playing volleyball, nerdy board games, and Battlebots.
